Letztes Update: 28. August 2024
At its meeting on August 28, 2024, the Federal Council decided that the AHV/IV pensions will be adjusted to current price and wage trends and increased by 2.9 % as of January 1, 2025, which will of course also automatically benefit those who have already retired. The adjustment will be based on the statutory mixed index, which corresponds to the arithmetic mean of the price and wage index.
Increase in AHV/IV pension 2025
In 2025, the maximum pension will be increased from CHF 2,450 to CHF 2,520 and the minimum pension from CHF 1,225 to CHF 1,260.
The maximum pension for married couples is now CHF 3,780.
The minimum contributions for self-employed and non-employed persons for AHV, IV and EO will increase from CHF 514 to CHF 530, the new minimum contribution for voluntary AHV/IV from CHF 980 to CHF 1,010.
Pillar 3a maximum amount 2025
As most of the figures from the Swiss social security system are based on the AHV pension, the maximum permissible tax deduction in the context of tied pension provision will also change. The maximum pillar 3a amount in 2025 is CHF 7,258. If you pay into pillar 3a every month, this unfortunately does not add up to a nice amount: CHF 604.833333.
So remember to adjust any standing orders at the beginning of 2025 so that you can utilize the full amount of pillar 3a and benefit from the resulting tax savings.
In 2023 and 2024, the maximum amount for pillar 3a was still CHF 7,056. This means you can pay in CHF 202 more per year from 2025.
If you are not a member of a pension fund, you can now pay in up to CHF 36,288 per year or a maximum of 20% of your income.
BVG limit amounts 2025
The BVG figures are also based on the AHV pensions. The new limits are as follows:
2024 | 2025 | |
---|---|---|
Minimum annual salary (entry threshold) | 22’050 | 22’680 |
minimum coordinated wage | 3’675 | 3’780 |
Coordination deduction | 25’725 | 26’460 |
Upper limit of the annual salary | 88’200 | 90’720 |
