Get money back when shopping online? It’s easy to do with Switzerland’s leading cashback website Rabattcorner*. In this post you’ll read how collecting cashback works, I’ll share my experience with Rabattcorner and you’ll learn how much cashback I’ve already collected at Rabattcorner.

Rabattcorner was founded in 2013 and has since paid out over 2 million francs in cashback to more than 89,000 users. You now receive cashback from more than 650 stores. But with Rabattcorner you can not only collect cashback, there are always coupons and special offers that you can even combine with the cashback.
The account at Rabattcorner is free of charge and from CHF 20 you can have your cashback paid out to your bank or PayPal account.

But what is cashback anyway and how does Rabattcorner actually work? Cashback translates as “money back” and that really says it all. You buy from an online store, pay the full price there, and get a portion of the purchase amount back later.
In order for the cashback to be allocated to you, create a free account at Rabattcorner and then search for the desired store in the Rabattcorner search engine. If you click on “Go to store and get cashback”, a new window will open and a cookie will be set. This allows your purchase to be tracked. You must therefore allow cookies and tracking in the browser. Also, you should disable adblockers and anti-tracking tools so that your transaction can be captured smoothly. After max. 24 hours you will receive an email that the transaction has been recorded and it will appear in your discountcorner account.
The amount of cashback is on average 5%, but varies from store to store. Of course, you can see how much cashback you will receive in the respective store on the website and in the app of Rabattcorner.
If the store confirms the cashback, you will again receive an email and the cashback will be credited to your Rabattcorner account. Depending on the store, this takes different amounts of time. When booking through Booking.com, it can take as long as two to three months after the hotel stay for the cashback to be paid out.
If a transaction was not recorded, you can initiate a subsequent posting at most stores. To do so, log in to your Discountcorner account, go to “Transactions”, “Request Posting” and enter the required information. Rabattcorner will forward the rebooking request to the store and you will receive the cashback retroactively, if applicable.
Discountcorner experience
I mostly use the discountcorner app, that’s how transactions are recorded most reliably in my experience. Make sure that no other app opens from the Rabattcorner app, otherwise your purchase cannot be tracked. Example: If you want to go to the AliExpress store in the Rabattcorner app, the AliExpress app opens. If you buy here now, the cashback cannot be tracked. To get around this, either delete the AliExpress app, or log in to Rabattcorner on your desktop.
By the way, there is a handy browser extension from Rabattcorner on the desktop. The add-on for Chrome, Safari or Firefox shows you with a green bar while browsing that the store you are browsing is a partner of Rabattcorner. It will look like this:

I also think it’s great that you can always see how much the shipping costs of the respective store are and how long the delivery takes before you enter the store. Also listed are the payment methods.

Conclusion Rabattcorner experience
The practical thing about Rabattcorner: you don’t have to collect any codes that are limited in time and then you realize when you pay that the code you painstakingly gathered is only valid for a certain category or product and yours, of course, is not one of them.
