Do you know this:
What looks like a shattered record is actually a stock and ETF depository. At the latest, you will be annoyed by the tax return, if you fill it out yourself and without a tax statement. So it’s time to put your portfolio in order.
Just like spring cleaning your apartment, a checklist will help you clean your depot so that no speck of dust or depot corpse is forgotten:
Depot spring cleaning checklist
Point 1 – Risk profile
Does your portfolio still match your risk capacity and risk appetite? Have your desires and goals changed and a home purchase is on the horizon? Or did you earn more last year and your nest egg grew excessively?
Point 2 – Diversification
Is your portfolio sufficiently diversified or do you have overlaps in the portfolio? Are individual sectors overweighted or possibly duplicated in ETFs?
Point 3 – Strategy
What is your strategy? The depot at the top of the graph tracks several at once and yet none. A few high dividend stocks, a bit of Switzerland, a bit of growth, a bit of turnaround. Several shares that have not performed so well, but are still in the red and are therefore not sold. The rest ETFs, two of which track the MSCI World …
And for me, strategy also includes: How do you decide which stocks to invest in and when and how much?
Item 4 – Costs
Do you still have old products in your portfolio that actually only cost and do not perform? Do you know the costs for your securities account and the individual transactions?
Let’s take up the digital feather duster together and give your portfolio a thorough spring cleaning so that you can enjoy investing in the long term. Depending on the number of positions, one or two hours of financial coaching is usually sufficient. Book your free initial consultation here and let’s discuss your concerns.
Free yourself from ballast and concentrate on the essentials. Incidentally, filling out the tax return will also be much easier with a tidy deposit. So you have more time for the really important things in life and can enjoy the spring to the fullest.
And if you don’t have a securities account yet and now feel like building up a low-maintenance portfolio, then you’re also in the right place at Finanzdepot Finanzcoaching. Make an appointment now for an initial consultation of approx. 15 minutes.
